Kate Scott
Kate Scott is an award-winning business, brand and marketing strategist, with 15 years' experience driving ambitious growth and transformation at some of Australia's leading arts companies. She was The Australian Ballet's Head of Marketing & Brand (2009–2015), Bangarra Dance Theatre's Director of Marketing & Audience Development (2016–2018) and Australian Chamber Orchestra's acting Director of Marketing (2019–2020). In 2020, she held the pro-bono position of General Manager for Women for Election Australia.
Recent consulting projects include business, partnership, brand, communications and marketing strategies for Monash University Performing Arts Centre, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Blacktown Arts, Heart of Gold film festival, Metro Tunnel Creative Project, the Paper on Skin wearable art festival, and Australian Theatre Live. Long-form content clients include The Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and Sydney Theatre.
Kate was the commissioning editor of Luminous – Celebrating 50 Years of The Australian Ballet, and her first novel will be published by Penguin Random House in January 2021. She currently sits on Monash University's Master of Communications & Media Studies Industry Advisory Board.
